FX Dealer – Citibank Nigeria Limited (CNL)

An exciting opportunity is open for the role of FX Dealer at Citibank Nigeria Limited (CNL). The position is based in Lagos and involves active market making in the inter-bank FX market. The ideal candidate will drive revenue generation through spot, forward, and swap FX transactions, maintain trading positions, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role is crucial in enhancing the bank’s FX trading capabilities while supporting internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take primary responsibility for risk management on spot FX, forward, and swap transactions, especially involving USDNGN, XAF, XOF, and CDF.
• Respond promptly to client and sales team inquiries throughout the trading day.
• Monitor and manage trading positions daily, identifying opportunities in the interbank market.
• Collaborate with internal trading and sales teams to execute profitable FX transactions and support mark-to-market initiatives.
• Provide timely market updates, trends, and policy changes to both clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/BA) is required; an MBA is an added advantage.
• Professional certifications such as CFA are preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Treasury or FX markets is required.
• Strong understanding of economic indicators, market trends, and regulatory policies.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg and other trading platforms is essential.
