Job Description

Elvaridah is recruiting a General Manager to lead a Microfinance Bank focused on financial inclusion and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for steering strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and driving profitability while maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies. This role requires strong leadership, proven experience in financial services, and the ability to foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and execute growth plans aligned with board directives and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee daily banking operations to ensure efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with CBN and NDIC guidelines.
  • Drive financial performance by monitoring profitability, managing risks, and expanding financial products such as loans and savings.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulators, clients, investors, and community stakeholders to enhance the bank’s reputation and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline (Master’s or MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in senior management.
  • Background in microfinance or retail banking is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of CBN regulations, risk management, and microfinance operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with a passion for financial inclusion.
