General Manager – Regional Operations (West) at MTN Nigeria

Job Description

MTN Nigeria is seeking a highly experienced General Manager for Regional Operations (West) to drive strategy execution, manage stakeholder relations, and ensure sales and service targets are consistently achieved across the region. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and proven experience in managing large-scale operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement MTN Nigeria’s regional operations strategy to achieve sales and service objectives.
• Identify business development opportunities and oversee performance monitoring across the region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to ensure business sustainability.
• Champion customer-centric initiatives and drive improvements in customer experience, including Net Promoter Score.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the regional team to strengthen productivity and capability.
• Promote compliance, mitigate risks, and support MTN’s transformation and brand initiatives.

Requirements

• First degree in a related discipline; postgraduate degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Experience in telecommunications, FMCG, retail banking, or service-related industries.
• Exposure to multinational environments and experience working across diverse cultures.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages is beneficial.
