Job Description

Dicalo Consulting Limited, a real estate company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounts to lead its finance operations. This role is designed for a professional with strong expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, and real estate accounting. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, cash flow, taxation, and team leadership to support the company’s growth and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local tax laws.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide management decisions.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory obligations including CIT, VAT, WHT, and PAYE while liaising with auditors and regulators.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury operations, loan facilities, and investment activities to ensure liquidity for ongoing projects.
  • Supervise, mentor, and enhance the efficiency of the accounting team while streamlining processes with ERP systems such as QuickBooks or SAP.
  • Oversee real estate–specific financial tasks including project cost tracking, escrow account management, and revenue recognition from sales and leases.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or CPA) is mandatory.
  • 9–15 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in real estate, construction, or property management.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Excel (advanced), and Power BI.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and financial practices in the real estate industry.
  • Candidates from Ibadan are preferred.
