Job Description
FairMoney Microfinance Bank is hiring a Head of Business Banking Product to lead its POS merchant and agency banking segment in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will drive the next phase of business banking transformation, delivering tailored financial services to merchants and SMEs. This is a strategic leadership role requiring deep fintech experience, product innovation, and a strong grasp of digital banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a scalable business banking product strategy focused on growth, user needs, and market alignment
- Lead the development and enhancement of core payment systems, including POS infrastructure, ensuring security and efficiency
- Expand the business banking suite to include services like deposits, lending, and trade finance for SMEs
- Conduct market research to inform product decisions and identify innovation opportunities
- Guide cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations, and marketing) in delivering impactful product features
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations across product offerings
- Build and manage a high-performing product team with a focus on innovation and delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years’ experience in fintech, product management, or business banking within African or emerging markets
- Strong understanding of payment systems, digital banking, and regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record of launching and scaling successful financial products
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills
