Short Description
A leading African conglomerate, Dangote Group, is seeking an experienced Head of Risk Management to oversee risk functions within one of its key subsidiaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of risk management frameworks across credit, operational, market, and strategic risks, ensuring compliance with Group Risk Management policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Enterprise Risk Management strategies for the subsidiary.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across credit, operational, market, strategic, and reputational areas.
- Monitor and report risk exposures in alignment with corporate risk appetite and policy.
- Support strategic planning and business continuity efforts by evaluating potential threats and opportunities.
- Guide and develop the Risk Analyst to ensure effective risk reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Sciences, Social Sciences, or Engineering.
- A Master’s degree or a relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior risk management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
