Job Description
An established FMCG company in Nigeria is recruiting a Head of Sales to oversee its Peanut Butter category nationwide. The role requires a result-driven sales professional with solid experience in General Trade and a successful history of driving growth in the food spreads segment (peanut butter, margarine, mayonnaise, or similar). The position involves developing sales strategies, managing regional teams, and achieving ambitious revenue and distribution goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business and profitability targets.
- Lead, guide, and supervise regional sales managers and field representatives across Nigeria.
- Strengthen distribution channels and drive General Trade expansion through effective distributor and retail management.
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee market activation campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
- Work closely with marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth business operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ hands-on experience in General Trade sales within the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience managing sales teams and handling food spread products such as peanut butter, margarine, or mayonnaise.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
