Job Description

Ecobank Nigeria, a subsidiary of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), is recruiting for the role of Head Office Internal Control Officer. This position is responsible for ensuring robust internal control systems, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal control policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and reviews of financial transactions and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Monitor compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements to prevent financial crimes.
• Investigate irregularities, discrepancies, or suspected fraud and recommend corrective measures.
• Collaborate with departments including compliance, risk management, and audit to resolve control-related issues.

• Prepare detailed reports on findings, risks, and recommendations for management and regulators.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in internal control, compliance, risk management, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, AML, and KYC requirements.
• Analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
