Job Description
Strait Sahara Microfinance Bank Limited is recruiting a highly structured and execution-driven Head, Operations & Administration to build and scale the operational backbone of its digital banking platform. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient banking operations, strong governance, regulatory compliance, and seamless customer experience while supporting rapid institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee end-to-end digital banking operations including accounts, transfers, wallets, and card services
• Supervise transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, and exception handling across channels
• Ensure SLA adherence, service delivery excellence, and operational efficiency
• Lead dispute resolution, chargebacks, and customer investigations
• Implement operational risk controls and maintain compliance with CBN regulations
• Manage operational vendors, switches, card processors, and partner performance
• Design scalable workflows, document SOPs, and drive automation initiatives
• Oversee administration, facilities, corporate services, and asset management
• Support internal and external audits and maintain regulatory documentation
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• Professional certifications such as ACIB, MCIB, PMP, Six Sigma, or COBIT are a plus
• 12–18+ years’ experience in Banking Operations or Financial Services
• Minimum of 5–7 years in senior operations leadership roles
• Proven experience in Digital Banking, Fintech, or Payment Operations
• Strong background in settlements, reconciliations, financial controls, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, automation, and vendor management
