Job Description

A reputable organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Head, Sales and Marketing to drive market entry, sustainable growth, and nationwide engagement. The role focuses on contributor acquisition within the informal and self-employed segments while ensuring full regulatory compliance and ethical marketing practices. The successful candidate will lead expansion initiatives, build strong field structures, and strengthen brand credibility across target markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with approved business objectives
• Identify priority customer segments and geographic markets for phased expansion
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of State Coordinators and field agents
• Drive customer onboarding through community campaigns, partnerships, and field sensitization programs
• Oversee marketing communications, campaign materials, and public engagement initiatives
• Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with regulatory and ethical standards
• Monitor acquisition costs, conversion rates, agent productivity, and contributor retention
• Provide periodic performance reports to Management and collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure cost efficiency and service quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline
• 5–7 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or distribution roles
• Prior experience in financial services, insurance, pensions, telecoms, or FMCG distribution is an advantage
• Proven experience managing distributed agent networks or channel partners
• Experience working within a regulated environment is desirable
• Strong understanding of grassroots and informal sector engagement
• Demonstrated leadership ability in managing large, field-based sales teams
• High ethical standards, regulatory awareness, and strong stakeholder management skills
