Job Description
A reputable organization in Abuja is looking to hire a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to maintain a safe work environment and promote health, safety, and environmental compliance across its operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing HSE policies, risk controls, and employee awareness programs to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess workplace hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Lead HSE training sessions and promote a safety-conscious work culture
- Conduct investigations into incidents and recommend corrective actions
Requirements:
- A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Recognized certifications such as ISPON Level 3, NEBOSH, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar HSE role
- Strong understanding of HSE laws and best practices
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
