Responsibilities

Human Resources (HR) Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates across various levels and business units.
  • Oversee job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions that align with company goals.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Foster a positive work environment through active engagement, conflict resolution, and open communication.
  • Develop employee engagement programs, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
  • Address employee grievances, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with labor laws.

Training and Development:

  • Identify skill gaps within the organization and develop training programs to address these needs, enhancing employee performance and career growth.
  • Coordinate leadership development and continuous learning opportunities to prepare high-potential employees for future roles within the company.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance review process, working with department heads to set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Develop a performance management system that links individual performance with company objectives and drives accountability.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Review and develop competitive compensation packages, benefits programs, and incentive plans to attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure payroll processing accuracy and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage employee benefits, including healthcare, pensions, and leave policies, ensuring they remain competitive within the industry.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Create, update, and implement HR policies and procedures that reflect Abans Group’s mission and comply with legal requirements.
  • Ensure all HR activities align with local, regional, and national labor laws and regulations, safeguarding the company from compliance risks.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure policies are being followed consistently across all departments.

HR Reporting and Analytics:

  • Use HR metrics and analytics to assess workforce trends, turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and more.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management, using data to support strategic decisions related to staffing, training, and employee engagement.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Office Management:

  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring an efficient, organized, and safe workplace.
  • Manage office supplies and inventory, coordinating with vendors to ensure the availability of resources needed for smooth operations.
  • Maintain the facility, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Administrative Support for Executives:

  • Provide administrative support to executive leadership, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, conferences, and company events, ensuring that logistics are seamless and meet organizational standards.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Manage and maintain company documentation, including employee records, legal documents, and administrative files, ensuring they are securely stored and easily accessible.
  • Develop a system for document archiving and retrieval, ensuring the protection and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Asset and Facility Management:

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of company assets and facilities, ensuring that all office equipment, IT systems, and infrastructure are functional and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate with vendors for facility-related services, including cleaning, security, and repairs.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce workplace health and safety policies, promoting a safety and compliance culture.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training to ensure all employees know emergency procedures and protocols.

Budget Management and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage the HR and administrative budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Work with the finance department to monitor expenditures, approve administrative costs, and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 – 8 years experience.

Salary
N350,000 – N400,000 monthly.
