Job Description
Silverado Properties is seeking an experienced Human Resource Officer to manage and support the full HR function of the organization. This role requires a proactive professional with strong people management, compliance, and organizational skills to ensure smooth workforce operations and employee development.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop employees across various departments
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of staff salaries, pensions, and benefits
- Develop, review, and approve job descriptions and job advertisements
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and overall workplace conduct
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and procedures
- Oversee employee health, safety, and welfare within the organization
- Organize staff training sessions, capacity-building programs, and team activities
- Advise line managers and employees on HR-related matters, contracts, and workplace policies
- Verify candidates’ eligibility and right to work within the organization
- Negotiate salaries, employment contracts, working conditions, and redundancy packages when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–15 years of relevant work experience in a similar HR role
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of organizational operations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical ability
- Proficiency in IT tools and HR-related software
