Job Description

Rome Business School Nigeria is seeking a skilled and proactive ICT Specialist to support academic and operational technology needs. This role is critical to ensuring reliable network infrastructure, seamless classroom and AV technology, secure ICT systems, and prompt technical support for academic, executive, and weekend programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize internet connectivity, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and radio failover systems
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, phones, tablets, and related peripherals
  • Provide technical support for AV and classroom technology used for teaching, hybrid learning, examinations, and events
  • Manage ID card printing, issuance, and related ICT systems for students, staff, and faculty
  • Conduct ICT asset stock-taking, tagging, documentation, and reconciliation
  • Respond promptly to network outages, hardware failures, and AV issues in line with defined SLAs
  • Enforce endpoint security, antivirus solutions, and malware prevention standards

Qualifications & Experience (Requirements)

  • HND or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of hands-on ICT support experience, preferably in an education or enterprise environment
  • Strong practical knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), hardware troubleshooting, and AV/classroom technology
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, Network+, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications are an added advantage

  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to technical incidents
  • Customer-service mindset with clear communication skills
