Description:
A content and media company is seeking an experienced Igbo Writer / Translator to create and translate engaging content in the Igbo language. This role is ideal for individuals who are fluent in both English and Igbo, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and language accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write original content in Igbo, including blog posts, articles, and social media captions.
  • Translate existing English content into Igbo while preserving tone, meaning, and cultural relevance.
  • Proofread and edit Igbo-language materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Conduct research on language use, trends, and cultural context to inform content creation.
  • Coordinate with the content team to support overall editorial planning and campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in both written and spoken Igbo and English.
  • Proven experience in writing or translation, particularly in digital media.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of grammar, spelling, and stylistic differences.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
