Location: Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos
An established company based in Lagos is seeking a skilled Import/Export Officer to manage and oversee import and export operations, ensuring compliance with Nigerian customs regulations and smooth international trade processes. The role requires strong knowledge of import/export documentation, international payment methods, and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage import and export documentation including Form M, Paar, Duty Assessment, and Duty Waivers to ensure compliance with Nigerian customs procedures.
- Coordinate with foreign suppliers and negotiate terms to optimize costs and delivery schedules.
- Oversee international payment processes such as Letters of Credit (LC) and Bills of Lading.
- Organize and monitor logistics operations to ensure timely shipment and delivery of goods.
Requirements:
- Possession of a university degree or diploma in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in import/export operations.
- Extensive knowledge of Nigerian customs importation procedures and documentation.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and international payment methods.
- Strong negotiation skills with foreign suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced in ERP software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, or Navbuild.
