Job Description

A Unit Microfinance Bank in Ikoyi, Lagos is seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Officer to manage and support its technology infrastructure and digital banking systems. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in banking IT operations, strong technical expertise, and the ability to ensure system efficiency, security, and compliance.

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: N300,000 – N350,000 monthly

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the Core Banking Application (CBA) to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and data integrity
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, and endpoints
  • Oversee integration and technical operations of digital banking channels such as mobile banking, internet banking, USSD, and ATM systems
  • Plan and execute IT projects including system upgrades and new technology deployments
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies, regulatory compliance, and system audits
  • Provide IT support and helpdesk services, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure service quality and SLA compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT operations or systems management, preferably within banking or financial services
  • Experience managing Core Banking Applications (CBA) is an added advantage
  • Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, CompTIA, PMP, or cybersecurity certifications are desirable
  • Strong knowledge of banking technology systems and IT infrastructure management
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity practices and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technology initiatives effectively
