Job Description

Pathway Advisors Limited is seeking an experienced Internal Control Officer to strengthen its internal control framework within an asset management environment. The role focuses on risk management, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and the protection of client and company assets in line with SEC regulations and internal governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the internal control framework in line with regulatory and best-practice standards.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Perform control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify gaps or weaknesses.
  • Monitor and track remediation plans to ensure timely resolution of control issues.
  • Support compliance with SEC rules, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate internal control reviews and support internal and external audits.
  • Prepare internal control reports for executive management, risk committees, and the board.
  • Partner with business units to improve processes and provide control advisory support for new initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CRISC, or CFA are an advantage.
  • 3–6 years’ experience in an internal control, risk, audit, or compliance role.
  • Prior experience within asset management or financial services is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, independence, and professional judgment.
