Introduction
A global open-source software company is seeking an experienced IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a remote team of Field Engineers. This role is ideal for a technical leader with deep embedded Linux expertise and a passion for solving customer challenges across the IoT and edge computing landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a remote team of Field Engineers, from junior to senior levels
- Support presales and professional services initiatives by advising customers and promoting technical solutions
- Guide team members through mentorship, coaching, and career development
- Plan and oversee progress on engineering projects and goals
- Represent the team in engagements with stakeholders, partners, and customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong embedded Linux experience (Yocto or similar), and familiarity with Debian or Ubuntu
- Proficiency in one or more of: Golang, Python, C, C++, Rust
- Team leadership experience and proven ability to manage technical teams
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset
- Experience working remotely and engaging with global clients
