IP Engineer at Vitel Wireless Limited
Job Description
Vitel Wireless Limited is hiring an experienced IP Engineer to support the design and operation of its IP-based network infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of data, voice, and video services across multiple network layers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and manage IP/MPLS network infrastructure across core and access layers
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- Implement and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Monitor network performance and handle incident escalation
- Support IP transport integration for voice (VoIP), data, and mobile services
- Document network configurations, topologies, and changes
- Conduct system upgrades and perform capacity planning
Requirements:
- A degree or HND in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in IP networking, preferably within the telecom industry
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS
- Professional certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP will be an added advantage
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
