Job Description

This role is suited for an experienced IT Officer with a strong background in application development within the financial services space. The position involves building and maintaining secure, high-performing applications that support mortgage and core banking operations, while collaborating with multiple teams to deliver efficient technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain core banking and mortgage applications
  • Lead development of key modules such as loan origination and repayment systems
  • Integrate internal systems with third-party services including payment platforms and credit bureaus
  • Optimize application performance and improve database efficiency
  • Ensure all systems comply with security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in software development
  • Strong proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or Node.js
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and database design
  • Experience with APIs, system integration, and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as CI/CD and Docker is an advantage
  • Solid understanding of secure coding practices

Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding of mortgage and loan lifecycle processes
  • Awareness of financial regulations including KYC and AML principles
  • Strong focus on data accuracy, audit trails, and system integrity
