Job Description

A newly established private hospital is seeking an experienced IT Officer to oversee its information technology operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of computer systems, networks, and hospital software, enabling efficient healthcare service delivery. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining secure and reliable IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and related devices.
  • Provide timely technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage and maintain the Hospital Information System (HIS) while ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Perform system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor network performance and implement robust cybersecurity measures.
  • Collaborate with vendors for system upgrades, repairs, and procurement of IT resources.
  • Train hospital staff on IT systems and applications for improved efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, system administration, and hardware maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems and data protection regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
