Job Description

Tecon Oil Services Limited is seeking a skilled IT Specialist to manage and support its IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining hardware and software systems, providing technical support to staff, and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT operations. This role requires hands-on experience and a proactive approach to improving system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain IT systems, hardware, software, and networks.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, ensuring systems remain up to date.
  • Provide end-user support and resolve IT-related technical issues.
  • Ensure IT security through access control, antivirus solutions, and compliance with best practices.
  • Work with third-party vendors and service providers for efficient IT service delivery.
  • Recommend and implement technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar IT support or specialist role.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking, and enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and cloud-based tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA) are an added advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
