Job Description
An experienced IT Specialist is required to support a fast-growing psychiatric practice by maintaining internal IT systems, providing technical support, and managing website and application infrastructure. This fully remote role suits a proactive professional with strong troubleshooting skills, healthcare IT awareness, and the ability to support distributed teams across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for internal tools including Microsoft 365, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Deliver remote support for hardware, software, network, VPN, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve performance, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure.
- Manage domain and email services using GoDaddy or similar platforms.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems and tools.
- Build, update, and maintain the organization’s website to ensure usability, security, and content accuracy.
- Support website and application development initiatives.
- Manage EHR (Electronic Health Record) system access and user accounts.
- Implement and manage data backup solutions and disaster recovery processes.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and external service providers.
- Stay current with healthcare IT standards, data protection requirements, and emerging technologies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ certification is preferred; additional IT certifications are an advantage.
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or IT Technician, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Hands-on experience with website development and content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, system security, and user access controls.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with healthcare data protection standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Experience working with EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Reliable internet connection and personal laptop are mandatory.

Work Schedule: 8-hour shift within 8:00am–6:00pm EST (2:00pm–10:30pm WAT). Primary shift is 8:00am–4:30pm EST, based on operational needs.
