Job Description
Mindas Petroleum Limited, a reputable player in the downstream oil and gas sector, is looking to hire a Junior Accountant to support its finance and accounting operations. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to grow their expertise in a structured corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
- Support tax computations and ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and other local regulations.
- Maintain accounting records using software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Conduct reconciliations, monitor transactions, and assist in audit preparations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years accounting experience (internship experience is acceptable).
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
- ICAN student or member; ACCA/CIMA certification is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to meet deadlines.
