A reputable healthcare organization in Owerri, Imo, is seeking a qualified Lead, Nursing Education & Development Specialist to drive excellence in nursing education and professional development. This position plays a key role in designing and implementing innovative training programs that enhance the clinical competence, leadership capacity, and overall performance of nursing professionals. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of continuous learning that aligns with organizational goals and evolving healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate nursing education and professional development programs, including orientation and continuing education.
- Identify training needs, design evidence-based curricula, and ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with nursing leaders and clinical teams to integrate best practices into education initiatives.
- Assess training effectiveness through data-driven evaluations and feedback to ensure ongoing improvement.
- Mentor nursing staff, promoting continuous learning, skill advancement, and career growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Nursing; Master’s degree (MSc) in Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 6–10 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years focused on nursing education, clinical training, or professional development.
- Certification in nursing education (CNE, RN-BC) or related specialty is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and healthcare education methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Must reside in Imo State or be willing to relocate.
