Experience: 2–5 years post-call

About the Role
A leading technology solutions provider, Layer3, is seeking a qualified Legal Executive to support its operations in Abuja. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and minimizing legal risks across business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and legal documents to safeguard the organization’s interests.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, including data protection regulations such as NDPR and GDPR.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, legal firms, and internal departments to manage legal issues efficiently.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in legislation that affect company operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university.
  • Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L) and active membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, regulatory compliance, or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks within the tech and corporate sectors.
  • Proven experience with contract drafting, legal documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with local and international data protection laws (e.g., NDPR, GDPR).
