Job Description

ASA Security Limited is seeking an experienced Legal Officer to oversee legal operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support debt recovery initiatives. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance across corporate and commercial matters while protecting the organization’s legal interests and supporting business objectives.

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage litigation, legal disputes, and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Monitor legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support debt recovery by working with relevant teams to initiate and manage legal proceedings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B).
• Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) with active membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
• Minimum of 5–7 years post-call experience in a corporate environment, preferably within the security industry.
• Proven experience in debt recovery, litigation, and credit control.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian commercial and labour laws.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Salary

₦400,000 – ₦500,000 per month
