Job Description
ipNX Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Manager, Network Operating Centre to oversee 24/7 network operations and ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across core, access, backbone, and customer networks. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with strong people management skills, operational discipline, and a focus on service quality and uptime.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage L1, L2, and L3 NOC engineers across shift-based operations
- Ensure proactive network monitoring, fault detection, escalation, and resolution
- Drive incident, problem, and change management in line with ITIL best practices
- Monitor and improve network KPIs including uptime, MTTD, MTTR, and SLA compliance
- Coordinate planned maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes
- Act as the primary escalation point for major or critical network incidents
- Oversee network performance reporting and operational dashboards
- Promote automation and continuous improvement across NOC processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in network operations within ISP or service provider environments
- At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role managing a 24/7 NOC team
- Strong knowledge of IP networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, fiber, GPON, and wireless networks
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, or Cacti
- CCNP and ITIL certifications are preferred; PMP or PRINCE2 is an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead during high-pressure incidents
