Job Description
Kumbotso Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to serve as Managing Director / CEO. The role requires a results-driven leader with strong expertise in financial services, microfinance operations, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth. The successful candidate will provide overall leadership and drive sustainable business performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the bank in line with regulatory and corporate governance standards
- Oversee daily operations and ensure efficient financial management and risk control
- Develop and implement growth strategies to expand the bank’s customer base and profitability
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations and other relevant financial policies
- Lead, supervise, and develop management teams to achieve organizational objectives
- Represent the bank in high-level stakeholder engagements and partnerships
Requirements
- BSc or equivalent qualification in Banking & Finance, Accounting, or any Management Science discipline with specialization in Banking or Finance
- Professional certification in Microfinance Banking (CIBN) is an added advantage
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry
- At least five (5) years of managerial experience within the industry
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and corporate governance principles
