Job Description
Health BalancePoint is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical oversight and ensure regulatory compliance across its wellness and therapeutic services. The role focuses on medical supervision for IV therapy, chronic condition management, and clinical safety, making it ideal for an experienced physician interested in contributing part-time expertise within a growing healthcare and wellness environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and update clinical protocols for all wellness and therapeutic services.
- Review and approve IV therapy formulations, treatment plans, and standing medical orders.
- Supervise and guide the nursing team while serving as the primary medical signatory for required documentation (HEFAMAA, NAFDAC, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with Lagos State health regulations, ethical standards, and internal safety protocols.
- Provide consultation, escalation support, and participate in periodic audits and training sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB).
- Full license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC clinical experience.
- Background in internal medicine, primary care, or wellness preferred.
- Supervisory or advisory experience is an advantage.
- Must reside in Lagos or be available for occasional on-site oversight.
- Knowledge of IV therapy, hypertension, or diabetes care is considered a strong plus.
- Ability to collaborate with nursing teams and support mobile healthcare models.
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and health technology platforms.
