Job Description
A reputable new private hospital in Lagos, managed by Biz Afric Solutions, is seeking an experienced Medical Officer to deliver top-tier clinical care across multiple specialties. The role involves working within a dynamic, multi-specialist healthcare setting, collaborating with consultants, nurses, and allied professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses across various specialties, adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
- Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and clinical audits.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Full registration and valid practising license with the Medical and Dental Council.
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in a multi-specialist or tertiary hospital.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in emergency situations.
- BLS certification is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shift schedules including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- High patient volume environment requiring efficient time management.
