Job Description

Ascentech Services Limited is recruiting on behalf of a start-up client in the pharmaceutical industry for an experienced Microbiologist. The role involves ensuring pharmaceutical products meet the highest microbiological safety and quality standards through precise testing, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with quality and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Develop and validate microbiological methods in line with industry and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, and detailed reports.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated, and used according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor and control environmental conditions in production areas to meet microbiological quality standards.
• Work closely with quality assurance and production teams to resolve microbiological issues.
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes, trends, and advancements in microbiology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in microbiological testing techniques and aseptic practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
