Job Description
Seven Up Bottling Company Limited is recruiting a Microbiologist to join its team in Enugu. This role focuses on ensuring that raw materials and finished products meet microbiological safety standards in alignment with regulatory and food safety requirements. The ideal candidate will support food safety systems and contribute to quality assurance processes across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbiological analysis on raw materials and finished goods, benchmarking against national and international standards.
- Participate in the food safety team for hazard analysis and flow diagram development under the Food Safety Management System.
- Carry out equipment swabs and air quality analysis within the production environment.
- Review supplier food safety systems and monitor their performance on microbiological safety.
- Analyze measurement data to identify root causes of food safety issues and recommend corrective actions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Microbiology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD) industry.
- Experience in food safety management and auditing (ISO 22000:2018 lead auditor qualification is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive performance improvement.
