A leading protective services provider is seeking a National Strategic Development Manager to drive national sales, secure high-value contracts, and expand market presence. This role is ideal for senior sales professionals experienced in tender management, strategic business development, and national account growth.

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom (Remote working possible, national travel required)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: £75,000 per year (dependent on experience) + £7,200 car allowance + commission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle national tender activity, including opportunity identification, strategy development, and submission management
  • Develop and execute win strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Identify commercial growth opportunities within procurement cycles, frameworks, and strategic accounts
  • Drive revenue growth by targeting high-value national opportunities and influencing solution design
  • Maintain market visibility, provide insights on competitor activity, and support tender pipeline development

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing high-value tenders, bids, or proposals at a national scale
  • Strong knowledge of protective services or related safety-focused industries
  • Exceptional written communication skills for creating persuasive, high-quality proposals
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple submissions simultaneously
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret complex contract requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and proposal-building tools

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration
  • Understanding of commercial pricing models and contract structures
  • Knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes
  • Background in sales-focused roles within protective services or complex B2B industries
