Responsibilities:

  • Research, gather, and verify information for news stories and reports.
  • Write, edit, and publish news articles that are accurate, engaging, and timely.
  • Monitor current headlines, trends, and developments to generate compelling story ideas.
  • Leverage social media platforms to promote news content and engage with the audience.
  • Collaborate with editors and team members to meet publication deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Excellent command of the English language, with strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office, WordPress, SEO tools, and conducting web searches.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Jasper) for content creation and editing is a plus.
  • Active presence on social media platforms with an understanding of online engagement.
  • Proximity to Anthony Village, Lagos, is an added advantage.
