Job Description


The Nutrition Officer (Volunteer) will support the organization’s humanitarian initiatives by promoting nutritional health among target communities. The role requires professionalism, dedication, and the ability to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring nutrition programs for IDPs and refugees.
  • Conduct community-based awareness campaigns on nutrition and healthy living.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of nutrition-related activities.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve program efficiency and impact.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational values, policies, and timelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: B.Sc. or HND in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in nutrition or humanitarian work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Residency in Borno State or nearby towns/villages.
  • Fluency in English and Hausa (knowledge of other local languages is an advantage).
