Job Description
Minim and Tonye Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee offshore construction projects. The role involves ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of offshore operations while maintaining strict compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise offshore construction activities including installation of subsea equipment, pipelines, and structural modules.
- Enforce compliance with HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to offshore safety standards.
- Lead and coordinate offshore teams, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor construction quality, project progress, and budgets while providing regular reports to management.
- Anticipate potential delays, implement corrective measures, and manage offshore logistics and mobilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Offshore Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8–15 years of offshore construction experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
- Valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET/FOET and H2S Safety.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in challenging offshore environments with in-depth knowledge of offshore construction procedures.
