Job Description
Ascentech Services Limited is currently recruiting for an experienced Oncology Officer to support its medical team in Katsina. This role is ideal for a qualified medical professional with a strong background in oncology, quality assurance, and clinical protocol development. The successful candidate will play a key part in providing expert patient care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct follow-up consultations and deliver expert care to radiotherapy patients
- Support and participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, and tumor board discussions
- Collaborate on the development and review of clinical treatment protocols
- Provide clinical advice on cancer patient management, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy
- Lead or contribute to research and continuous quality improvement efforts
Requirements:
- A recognized medical degree (MD or DO) with 3–5 years relevant work experience
- Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology or a related specialty
- Solid understanding of evidence-based oncology treatment practices
- Strong communication, leadership, and training abilities
- Proven involvement in clinical audits and multidisciplinary collaboration
