Job Description

A growing organization in the food production sector is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee daily production activities, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and maintain efficient operational processes. This role requires strong coordination, quality control awareness, and the ability to support production teams in meeting targets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure raw materials are available and properly issued before production begins
  • Monitor production output and report any variances or inefficiencies
  • Support supervisors in achieving daily production targets
  • Enforce compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP
  • Monitor staff hygiene and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of equipment and production areas
  • Identify and report contamination risks immediately
  • Track raw material usage and minimize wastage
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory reconciliation
  • Monitor product quality throughout production processes
  • Ensure correct labelling and packaging standards are maintained
  • Accurately document quality checks and production records
  • Monitor temperature levels of storage facilities and report deviations
  • Ensure proper storage of finished goods to maintain quality and freshness
  • Carry out other assigned operational duties as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations or production management, preferably in the food industry
  • Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to monitor processes and ensure compliance with set standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
