Job Description
An experienced Operations Manager is required to oversee office and site operations, fleet and equipment management, compliance, logistics, and utilities across multiple locations. This role demands strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to coordinate diverse teams while ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate all office and site operations, including fleet, equipment, tools, materials, and devices
• Supervise artisans, machine operators, horse caregiver, and other support staff
• Conduct weekly site visits to monitor attendance, compliance with company policies, and proper use of PPEs
• Submit weekly To-Do lists and discharged duties to the Executive Director and Corporate Affairs Team Lead
• Ensure daily attendance collation and review (on or before 10:00am) for site technicians, machine operators, and security personnel
• Engage, supervise, and coordinate security companies and personnel to ensure effective performance
• Monitor staff lodge records and ensure compliance with lodge rules and policies
• Conduct regular checks on company vehicles for repairs, maintenance, and registration particulars
• Ensure branding of vehicles and machinery with the company logo
• Manage office equipment and stationery, ensuring timely repairs and replacements
• Maintain inventory of office supplies, fleets, and equipment, with monthly updates submitted to management
• Ensure all sites are registered with Lagos State Safety Commission and LAWMA, with documentation properly filed and updated
• Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance across all sites
• Oversee procurement and distribution of PPEs, maintaining accurate issuance records
• Ensure vehicles are available for official outings, client visits, and site inspections
• Handle logistics payment requisitions and follow up with Accounts until completion
• Manage delivery of official documents via logistics personnel or courier services
• Attend to monthly utility bills for all sites and the MD’s residence, including electricity, diesel, LAWMA, water supply, and internet
• Coordinate IT issues with internal and external consultants
• Ensure proper servicing and management of printers, desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment
• Attend to ISO requirements and procedures for the Operations unit
• Prepare and review monthly documentation for process changes and submit to the team lead for approval
• Ensure all site safety and environmental documents are properly filed and documented
• Handle complaints from vendors and subcontractors regarding logistics and operations
• Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, retreats, and board sessions
• Undertake any other function as may be applicable from time to time
Qualifications / Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in construction, facilities management, or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, regulatory compliance, and health, safety, and environmental standards
• Proven leadership ability with experience managing diverse teams across multiple sites
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
