Job Description

Minim and Tonye Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operations across multiple oil & gas project sites. This role is critical to ensuring safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant project execution. The position requires strong engineering expertise, operational leadership, and the ability to manage complex, multi-site activities in both onshore and offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple onshore and offshore oil & gas project sites.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with approved scope, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical and engineering leadership to Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material mobilization and demobilization.
  • Monitor project KPIs including cost performance, productivity, downtime, and quality metrics.
  • Enforce compliance with HSE policies, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, OEMs, and regulatory bodies on technical and operational matters.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly operational performance reports to management.
  • Support tender preparation, project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 15–25 years of experience in oil & gas operations or project management.
  • Proven experience managing multiple project sites simultaneously.
  • Strong background in engineering-led project execution, including EPC, construction, fabrication, or maintenance projects.
  • Solid knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, ISO, and NACE.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Professional Certifications (Advantage)

  • Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
  • COREN registration or equivalent professional body.
  • HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
