Job Description
PalmPay Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee both field and office operations in Lagos. The role requires strong coordination skills, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and HQ stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the assigned PalmPay office, ensuring full operational readiness (power, internet, workspace).
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Cards, POS, BNPL, Merchant Loans, and Customer Care to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, identifying risks and escalating blockers proactively.
- Handle merchant and customer escalations routed to the office, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support field operations including POS inspection, repair, swap, and merchant activations.
- Prepare and submit weekly operational and performance reports to management.
- Enforce discipline, attendance, and execution standards within the office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in operations, field execution, fintech, payments, or merchant-focused roles.
- Strong understanding of payment products (POS, cards, transfers, or lending preferred).
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage operational complexity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with local teams and international stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs and operational metrics.
- High sense of ownership, structure, and execution discipline.
