Job Description
A logistics company in the e-commerce industry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (Head of Operations) to oversee delivery operations, manage 3PL partners, and drive service excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive logistics/e-commerce experience, and the ability to optimize processes through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end daily delivery operations in collaboration with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Supervise and support hub supervisors, operations staff, and dispatch coordinators, ensuring performance standards are met.
- Track and analyze delivery performance metrics, generate reports, and recommend cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
- Manage client and 3PL relationships, resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7–10 years of proven experience in operations management within logistics, courier, or e-commerce.
- Strong background in managing 3PL partners and client-facing operations.
- Advanced data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or SQL.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management ability.
- Managerial experience in e-commerce logistics is mandatory. Candidates without this will not be considered.
