Job Description

HR On Wheels, a non-governmental organization, is seeking a seasoned Partnerships & Development Executive to drive institutional fundraising, strategic partnerships, and long-term development growth. This role is suited to an experienced professional who can work independently, engage high-level stakeholders, and represent the organization credibly across academic, cultural, and donor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic fundraising initiatives and manage relationships with institutional and high-value donors.
• Identify, develop, and secure partnerships with universities, think tanks, and Institutes of African Studies globally.
• Research, engage, and convert institutional funding opportunities aligned with organizational objectives.
• Drive long-term development strategy focused on sustainability and growth.
• Represent the organization as a spokesperson at meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements when required.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with academic, research, and cultural institutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3–6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in partnerships and development; training will not be provided.
• Prior experience working within a university, research institute, or similar intellectual or cultural institution is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated track record in high-level fundraising (institutional or corporate, not grassroots or charity-focused).
• Strong ability to build and manage global academic and research partnerships.
• Strategic mindset with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident professional presence with the ability to represent an organization at senior levels..
