Pharmacist (Community) – Lagos
Job Description
A reputable pharmacy in Baruwa, Lagos is recruiting for the role of a Community Pharmacist. The ideal candidate must be dedicated to patient care, uphold ethical pharmaceutical standards, and possess strong knowledge of drug usage, interactions, and dispensing practices. Only candidates living in or very close to Baruwa and surrounding areas will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately.
- Provide professional counseling on drug usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Maintain proper documentation, prescription records, and inventory control.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure safe storage of medications.
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy assistants and interns.
- Support smooth pharmacy operations and promote health awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree.
- Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in community pharmacy.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and dispensing standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping ability.
- Must reside in or near Baruwa, Lagos (Ipaja, Ayobo, Egbeda, Gowon Estate, or close environs). Applications from outside these locations will not be considered.
Working Hours
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Alternate weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)
