Job Summary
A reputable construction and engineering company in Lagos is hiring a skilled Planning Engineer (Building) to oversee and coordinate building project schedules. The role involves developing detailed timelines, managing milestones, and ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and manage comprehensive project schedules using MS Project or similar tools.
- Define timelines, tasks, dependencies, and deliverables in coordination with the project team.
- Track progress against baseline schedules and generate performance reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cost controllers to ensure budget compliance.
- Adjust plans as needed to accommodate changing conditions and ensure deadlines are met.
Candidate Requirements
- HND or B.Eng. in Civil Building Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in project planning or construction with a reputable organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
- Professional certification in Engineering or related areas is an added advantage.
