Job Description
Origin Tech Group is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and optimize its procurement operations. This role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective sourcing, maintaining supplier quality standards, and driving efficient procurement processes across projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry knowledge, leadership ability, and a proven track record in strategic sourcing within Nigeria’s construction or engineering sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an approved vendor list, including vendor pre-qualification processes
- Lead competitive bidding and tendering processes for materials, equipment, and services
- Negotiate supplier contracts, framework agreements, and long-term supply deals
- Manage purchase orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely execution
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical sourcing standards
- Monitor market trends and maintain updated pricing schedules for construction materials in Nigeria
- Collaborate with project teams to align procurement plans with project timelines
- Track procurement performance metrics and prepare monthly management reports
- Resolve supplier-related issues including disputes, quality concerns, and contract claims
- Drive procurement process improvements and support digital transformation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 10–12 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a procurement team
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian construction supply chain and material markets
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement platforms
- Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing and negotiation
