Job Description
A Production Technologist plays a critical role in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery while ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable field operations. The position demands strong technical expertise in well performance, artificial lift, sand control, well integrity, and stimulation, with a focus on innovation and best practices to drive long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and manage well models, perform nodal analysis, and build integrated production system models to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including reservoir, drilling, and operations to align production strategies with business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership in production optimization projects, risk management, and the adoption of advanced technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Production Technology and Engineering Operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven expertise in well testing, production analysis, nodal analysis, and production optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Prosper, GAP, tNavigator, or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
