Fountain University, Osogbo, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Professor of Microbiology in the College of Natural & Applied Sciences. Job Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality teaching and curriculum development in the Department of Microbiology.
• Conduct impactful research and publish in reputable local and international journals.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, fostering academic growth and innovation.
• Provide academic leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior faculty members.
• Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees and activities.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Microbiology or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a university system.
• Evidence of scholarship with at least twenty-five (25) publications in recognized peer-reviewed journals.
• Must have held the position of Reader (Associate Professor) for at least two (2) years.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
